Challenge # 5 - My Favourite Four

Hello Everyone

What a lovely Month we have had with our "This used to be a..." challenge #4. You guys sure know how to turn just about anything into gorgeous stuff! We enjoyed each and every entry! So watch out for the winner announcement shortly!

For this month we have a very exciting and fun filled challenge. We thought we should get back to our roots of paper crafting.

The Challenge for this month is "My Favourite Four".

We just moved a step ahead of a traditional 3 by 3 Bingo and took it to a new level. We have a 4 by 4 Grid for you. What you have to do, is pick either a row, a column or a diagonal and create any  project that must include all the 4 elements in that row or column or diagonal. Here's what we have for you.

We have tried to spread across one technique in each row, column  and diagonal and we are so eager to see what you come up with.

I am sharing a post here after a very very long time but I had lots of fun making this card. I started with my new found love of making handmade flowers. These have been die cut in my Ecraft, embossed, curled, spritz with  Glimmer Mist and then with flat pearls for the centre.

This made me pick Coloumn 4 - Pattern Papers, Stickers/thickers, Dry or Heat Embossing and Flowers.

The latest My Minds Eye Indie chic Collection looked perfect for this card and i wanted to get back to embossing as well. So this column was just perfect!

Since the flowers are big and chunky I chose to make a side step card to showcase these beauties and give garden appearance :). Here are the detailed shots!

Tried both dry and heat embossing

Thickers

Can you see the shimmer on the flowers?

The cheveron! Patterns papers are from My Minds Eye-Indie Chic Collection

Hope You liked it.

You have until the end of this month - 29th October to link up your projects.
  1. Pick a column,a row or a diagonal from the Grid and title your posts like this.. For e.g.: If you choose R3 for your project, your post would be titled... "My Favourite Four - R3." Explain your project idea in 2 lines and how you used your favourite 4 elements.
  2. It is not necessary to make only a card, you may choose tags, layouts, canvas etc but its important to have all the 4 elements depicted in your project.
  3. No Back linking please. We want to see what you make post this challenge is announced.
  4. Once you post it on your blog please link back to this Challenge and add your entry in Mr. Linky with a comment to alert our DT .
  5. It is not necessary to use items purchased from Lulupu.com (though we would love it if you do and link back to our shop).
  6. If you do not have a Blog, mail your entry to hello@lulupu.com and leave a comment for us again! But it would be great if you can start a blog as it helps the DT to visit your page and work.
  7. You can link up your creation to a maximum of 5 challenges ONLY including this one to qualify.
  8. Maximum 2 entries per person. Please add (2) for your second entry against your name.

    1. Hi Kavitha... If you are using R1 or C1 or D1 where it says "Stamping (Anything Goes)" then yes, digital stamps will do as it says 'anything goes.'

But if you choose C2 or R4 which has stamping & colouring, we would want you to use rubber or acrylic stamps and colour it by hand using water colours, crayons, water colour pencils, copics, etc. and NOT use digital stamps.

I hope that answers your question. Let me know if there's anything else you need to know..

      Cheers!
      Team Lulupu.. :)

    1. Kavitha, as it says "Anything Goes" you can stamp anything, with or without colouring.. There is absolutely no restriction when it comes to stamping as a part of R1, D1 or C1.. :)
